We’ve had an invitation to meet London Assembly Member Jenny Jones, and a couple of us will be meeting her this Friday morning.
The intention is to visit a couple of places on bikes in the borough that might present issues for cyclists. Jenny intends to spend about an hour in the borough.
If you’re interested in attending, we’re meeting at 9.30 am by the arches at Hyde Park corner, where we’ll be meeting a couple of Westminster Cycling Campaign colleagues. Location can be viewed here:
http://g.co/maps/hh4nx
If you can’t attend but have a suggestion for a location to visit, feel free to say in the comments section below. Of course, ‘issues’ may not be locations but general borough-wide matters.
We also intend to highlight what is good for cycling in the borough (e.g.contraflow cycling trials and Ken High St cycle parking), plus the recently initiated marketing and promotion activities, e.g:

More information on Jenny Jones is here:

Kensington & Chelsea Cyclists, in cooperation with Wandsworth LCC, have been busy trying to campaign for a more pedestrian and cycle friendly bridge design once the present refurbishment works on Albert Bridge are complete.
An outcome of our meeting last week was a decision to survey users of the bridge and local residents to get a better picture of what people would really want from the bridge and gain support for our aims.
A local resident has been very productive in producing a survey form, and we plan to survey users this Wednesday morning (10th November) as well as local residents.
If anyone might be available to help us with the survey, we would be very grateful! It will involve talking to people at either the north or south end of the bridge and noting down responses to the survey on a clipbord (which we will supply). We will also supply you with a hot drink!
We plan to be there from 8am til 9am but if you can’t make the whole hour that’s fine, any time is useful.
If you can help, just let me know on 07960 026450 (leave message if necessary) or email philip797-survey@yahoo.co.uk
Thank you very much
